Wildland Fire S130/190

This course is being offered in conjunction with the Maine Forest Service, and will consist of 32 hours of online coursework through the National Fire Academy, followed by 8 hours of classroom review and field skills on Saturday with an optional pack carry exercise Sunday morning and a mandatory 8-hour outdoor exercise Sunday at the spring CMFAS School. This course is designed to introduce Firefighters to pressure pumps, wildland tactics, weather considerations, hand tools, potential live fire evolution, and helicopter operations.
