Central Maine Fire Attack School

Due to the current restrictions and recommendations of the CDC, CMFAS will not be holding the October Fire Attack School.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to your department.  We are hopeful for the spring, and will post here on our website when we have a date picked.  Thank you all for your continued support.  Stay safe all.

Yours in fire service,  President Jandreau, VP Dill and the entire board of directors

Firefighter Self-Rescue

If conditions suddenly deteriorate inside a building, are you prepared to get yourself out of an upper floor?  If you get separated from your crew, do you know how to save yourself?  Prepared to breach a wall, or disentangle yourself from wires or a mattress spring?  Are you carrying the right equipment?  Are you confident in your ability to bail out of a window onto a ladder or rope under extreme fire conditions?  This program will teach lifesaving techniques to get you out of those unplanned situations. Topics discussed and practiced are SCBA low profile maneuver, wall breaching, disentanglement, and emergency exit techniques using both ladders and escape ropes.  PPE, SCBA and NFPA compliant helmet w/chin strap required. This is a hands-on class, not for beginners, participation is expected.
